Gary Pohl entered the financial services industry in 1982. He is President of Pohl & Associates, Inc. and has been a licensed LEAP® representative since 1990. The Lifetime Economic Acceleration Process™ or LEAP, requires seminar participation and study hours for licensed representatives. Both Gary and Pohl & Associates have the advantage of operating independently, and are able to offer numerous investment products to meet their clients’ needs.
Gary spends the majority of his time working one-on-one with clients and the balance of his time doing research and increasing his knowledge base. He holds FINRA licenses Series 6, 22, 62, and 63; and NASAA license Series 65. He is a licensed insurance agent for Life, Disability, Health, and Variable Products. He co-founded the Dignity Group of Central Michigan, a not-for-profit financial planning organization for special needs dependents. He has served as treasurer for the Catholic Social Services St. Vincent Home. |
Gary believes in teaching his clients financial strategies so they are able to make educated choices when making important monetary decisions. His focus is on helping clients with complex situations understand where to find opportunities to potentially create wealth, and explaining his financial strategies in simple, non-technical terms.
Gary enjoys working with professionals, business owners and their employees to help them create the maximum potential wealth beyond what they were able to create through traditional planning methods. There are two facets of planning for each person during their lifetime. One is the accumulation of wealth to prepare for retirement, and the second is the spending of income through one’s assets at retirement. Gary guides individuals at all stages of their financial life.
Gary understands the complexities of running a business; from employee benefits and hiring employees, to profit and loss statements and profit margins. He has helped clients with the decision to start their own company, or to sell the company they currently own. Because of his background and experience, Gary enjoys working with small and mid-sized company owners to help them coordinate their business and personal financial planning goals. He also has been instrumental in guiding clients to establish pension plans, savings plans, and other employee benefits.
Gary is experienced in evaluating investments for his clients and spends numerous hours each year in continuing education and economic review. He has discovered that besides the coordination of assets, there are potentially better methods for individuals to invest rather than the traditional asset allocation method of owning mutual funds. Gary believes that it is not the investment products available to everyone that make someone wealthy, but rather the process used to obtain them.
